i would like to give a shout-out to our new reader, christine, who has sent these tips for us tall chicks. thanks, christine!
christine found a workout jacket with extra long arms. the body is not extra long, but it is "tolerable" for her at 6'. nice. i like how you can see the length of the sleeves in the product picture. this long-armed pullover is by cloudveil and is available on zappos.
christine and i also share a secret tall girl trick: wearing a dress as a shirt or tunic. christine made some great finds at american apparel. she says the chemise below is "a *perfect* camisole" for her. she also has an american apparel funnel neck shift dress that she wears as a top. very cute. i want one of those. i think american apparel sizes run on the smaller end of juniors sizes. you might want to read the reviewer comments to help you determine the right size.
thanks again, christine, for your tips! anyone else got any great finds? let me know!
i often wear those new mini dresses as shirts and pair them with black pants or jeans... :)

Very nice blog here.
In reference to the clothing on this post. I too mix it up and wear dresses as shirts.
We, as tall girls, have the luxury of mixing it up too. I don't know how many times I have made a pair of jeans into capri pants.
We have to stay creative in attempts to make fashion work for us.
Thanks for sharing!

Hi, there--
I wanted to let you know about another tall contemporary clothing source: www.katclothing.com. (I own it, not going for a shameless plug, just wanted you to know it's out there.) I'm 6'2 and have a size 14 shoe and finally decided to take matters into my own hands. We have slacks/denim in 37-inch inseams and some that are un-hemmed; shoes in sizes 8-14; maxi dresses and skirts; and, I'm working hard on cute tops and more jackets. Anyhow, I enjoy your blog. Thanks for letting me share and best!

Loved the idea of a chemise as a cami! Our boutique is selling a lot of these camis to tall fashionistas (and mamacitas): http://www.sakurarose.com/layeringcamis1.html
I swear by 'em and wear one every day, as a tall girl myself. Makes even just-a-little-too-short shirts work & look like a perfect fit.
