as fashion embraces fug, the jumpsuit makes a return. but beware, as a tall woman, dromedary digit may befall you, as it did this runway model in a
metallic romper at the iceberg show. if camel toe is not really coming into style, you are going to need something a liittle longer in the torso.
here is where the fugly fuchsia cashmere & silk knit jumpsuit comes strutting down the catwalk. i read that "the much-discussed Stella McCartney silk jumpsuit ($1,595) for fall...appears to have been made to fit a woman of 6-foot-3." well, i found it on net-a-porter, and it just fits the 5'11" mannequin with a 34" inseam and 11" rise.
but, hey. if you are 5'11" with a 34" inseam, and you have a hole burning in your pocket to spend $1,600 smackers on something hideously chic, go for it. (or check out stella's cheap & cheerful collection at h&m. i can't vouch for the torso length.)
or you could follow the advice of "the beloved, bonkers old lady of fashion" vivienne westwood and stop buying & buying:
"There's this idea that somehow you've got to keep changing things, and as often as possible. Maybe if people just decided not to buy anything for a while, they'd get a chance to think about what they wanted; what they really liked."
a fashion diet—kind of hard to follow when things are just starting to fit. or is it?
